Last but not least! my last shelf project will be with yeonji and bora! and we will discuss about Korean current wedding culture. Nowadays people got married late compare to the past. In the past women usually got married in the middle of 20s and usually for men in the beginning of 30s. So we want to discuss about 1. Why the wedding trend is changed compare to the past? 2. Do we need to get married? (Do you want to have a husband/wife?) 3. If you want to get married, when will be appropriate for you? 4. Discussing about "DINK(Double Income No Kids) / PINK(Poor Income No Kids) / DINPET(Double Income with Pet) / DEWK(Dual Employ With Kids)" It will be our last SHELF Project, but I hope we can do another hangout with controversial topic after the exam!! We really considered what can we do for our last SHELF Project. As all of the active people are in our group, we try to do really creative and experimental project! So we did a cooking show! Showing the process of making a cake, and recording all what we did. After finishing to decorate the cake, we made a short review for this class and say thanks to Jeff! Are you learning and/or practicing English in a meaningful way? - We try to use English when we explain what we are doing and how to make the cake! when we just ate decoration cream, it was quite difficult to explain the word for taste like oily. After finding the synonym of oily, we learned greasy as same meaning. Are you pushing yourself? Stretching your skills? - First of all, like job interview, we usually practice really formal English. If people can know how to pronounce the word correctly and follow the intonation, I think next step will be what speaker wants to emphasize in the sentence. Even though my pronunciation is not reached on the high-level, I tried to catch the moment that Obama tries to give accent on his words. What is more, I had some difficulties in finding the "pause".
