SHELF (Second Half English Learning Fun) project
When we discussed about the topic in the class, we have a bunch of topics. So I will introduce some of my favorite topics.
First one is making a news (BUFS NEWS). We focus on the 'Podcast' with audio materials like radio channel. At the first time, we plan to talk about the social issues, weather, sports news,.. same as the real news, but we feel that nowadays there are a lot of problems in the school like school bus problem or student restaruant problem. As the owner of this school, students can inform the problem of school and people can form a social consensus. And another advantage is that foreign students who are not fluent in Korean language can understand what are happening in the school nowadays. Furthermore, if it is possible, we can invite them and ask their inconvenience. So we can deliver their opinions as well.
Second one is Music Talk show. There is a similar radio program which introduces pop songs and make people understand about the song. The program name is 'The music camp of Chul-soo Bae'. He has hosted over 20 years in this program, and it is the one of the best program learning the history of pop song. Similar to this program, we will choose one host and some guests. Then each person will introduce their songs about the singer and the lyrics. After they finish introducing their songs, we will make people listen the song and share the idea. Actually it is also the idea that I used in my school activity club. My club is for listening not only old pops but also current famous songs, so we have hundreds of LPs and CDs. When we are studying about one specific genre, we used this kinds of way for studying. So I think that it will work well even for doing podcast!
